This trek is an energetic way to spend a long weekend by taking just two days to summit and descend the highest peak in North Africa. With our accommodation based in the Berber village of Imlil, right in the heart of the majestic Atlas mountains, we gain a valuable insight into the life and traditions of the Berber people. Once our mission is accomplished, our trip will end with the exploration of the vibrant and colourful souks of mystical Marrakech.
Highlights
sample 5 day Itinerary:
Day 1 – Fly to Marrakech. Followed by a 90 minute car journey to Imlil. Overnight stay in Imlil.
Day 2 – Walk through Berber villages to Toubkal Refuge (3207m). Rest and overnight stay at the refuge. (Trekking distance 7 miles).
Day 3 – Early ascent to Toubkal Summit (4167m). Return to Imlil to relax and overnight stay. (Trekking distance 13 miles).
Day 4 – Transfer to Marrakech for sightseeing.
Day 5 – Fly back
